Description

The song “Saint Anne’s Reel” is for sale as a download and includes both tablature and music notation.

“Saint Anne’s Reel” is an old fiddle tune associated mostly with Canada, though it may have early Irish roots as well. It’s just as popular among American fiddle players, who often call it in bluegrass jams.

This arrangement is in the “EZ” category for flatpack guitar. It’s written in the key of C, but when you play it with a fiddle or mandolin player, you must capo at the second fret as all fiddle players know it in the key of D.

This rendition sticks to mostly quarter notes, with a few eighth notes “here and there.” The idea being that fiddle players who know this piece inside and out will play it as fast as a coyote chasing a roadrunner…thus, you will be glad to have a version that gives you the ability to keep up with these “faster-than-light” speeds! aint
