Description
“Cherokee Shuffle” 5 string banjo tab is for sale as a download. This rendition is for those at an intermediate level and requires some knowledge of melodic style. It takes you up the neck as far as the 10th fret, so if you’re not used to that kind of “shifting”, this rendition may not be for you. An experienced banjo teacher could walk you through the “tricky parts” if you did want to give it a go.
When playing this tune with a fiddle or mandolin, you must capo to the second fret and capo or pin your 5th string to the 7th fret (Thus transposing your G-Tuning to the key of A).
The download comes with a Banjo Notation Key to help the player understand the timings and markings of this particular style of TAB.
This version makes a good companion to my guitar arrangement of the piece.
